Dr. Hay Ly Eang, CEO of Confirel and PPM, contributed as a speaker to the Cambodia Circular Economy Forum 2024 organized by GIZ Cambodia, the German International Cooperation Agency. He presented how Confirel actively contributes to the promotion of sustainable rural development by implementing the principles of the circular economy every day in its plantations, in particular through waste recycling. He proposed during this Forum that the people of Phnom Penh practice selective sorting in order to produce compost from organic waste. “This would allow them to reduce the amount of their garbage collection fees, which is an excellent way to promote circular development,” he noted.
